Anthems for the Nation of Luobaniya mp3 blog

The vogue for mp3 blogs has waned in recent years but I'm sure it will be looked back upon in the future as a cultural efflorescence. It's a shame Google hasn't created some equivalent service to the one which they have rolled out with books and simply hoovered up all this stuff, and what is now usually defunct accompanying Megaupload links, and preserved it properly.

Here's a superb exception to that trend towards obsolescence. Wound down into 2014, the Anthems for the Nation of Luobaniya mp3 blog is an absolutely immaculate archive (with functioning download links) of the greatest field recordings ever made. At a cursory glance it features most of the ones featured in The Wire's landmark Field Recordings Primer; even including the particularly evasive Weeping and Song volume on Barenreiter Musicaphon which was only ever sold once on Discogs and then for the princely sum of £115.34.

Get thee hence.
